The Port Alberni Bombers are excited to announce that they have added 2009 born Forward Joel Dorn for the 2024-2025 season.
Dorn is 15 years old, and is from Port Alberni. Changes to Vancouver Island Junior Hockey regulations afforded the Bombers the opportunity to sign one 15 year old, and Dorn was without question the player to best take advantage of this. The right handed shooting forward played with the U15 AAA Vancouver Island Royals in the BC Elite Hockey League. In 26 regular season and post season games he scored 7 goals and added 7 assists for 14 points.
Bombers Assistant Coach and Assistant GM Mike Doucette commented “Joel is a two-way player that can score but is also responsible and stays on the right side of the puck. We believe he had the potential to play a big role in the future in Hockey Valley”
