The Port Alberni Bombers are excited to announce the addition of 2007 born Forward Leim Smith, of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta for the 2024-2025 season.
The 5’10 161 pound Smith played the previous two seasons with Edge School in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League. In 73 regular and post season games he scored 31 goals and added 22 assists for 53 points. He also played four games with the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Olds Grizzlies.
Bombers Assistant Coach and Assistant GM Mike Doucette commented: “Leim is an exciting two way forward who plays honest , hard, and has explosive speed. He’s an exciting addition”
The Bombers open their 2024-2025 VIJHL season on Thursday, September 5th when they visit the Nanaimo Buccaneers. Game time is 7:15pm.
