Bombers Blow Early Lead Drop Game 6-5 To Islanders

Friday night was a huge matchup for the Bombers as the team found themselves in a playoff point battle for the final wild card spot.

The Kerry Park Islanders were in town for this Friday night VIJHL match up and the game start off with a bang. The Bombers had a 3 goal lead not even half way through the Period as they go scoring from Jackson Payeur Aidan See and Robbie Steel. But the islanders didn’t go away as Kerry Park would net three of their own in the opening frame and we would be tied at 3 going into the room after 20.

The second period was all Kerry Park as the islanders got scoring from Carson Brown and Eric Stinson. The Bombers struggled to get going in the second frame and we would head to the room with KP up 2 after 40.

The come back attempt would need to begin in period 3 but the Islanders had other ideas as Bryce Burnett would score just over a minute in and put the Islanders up by 3. The Bombers would get close with 3rd period goals from Justin Osborne and Blake Power but the deficit would be to much to overcome for the Bomb Squad. 6-5 the final Bombers went 1/7 with the man advantage KP went 3/6.
