The Port Alberni Bombers continued their winning ways with a 9-6 victory over Lake Cowichan Kraken on Saturday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex. The result improved the Bombers win-loss record to 4-0, numbers that have them atop the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League standings.
Jack Barrett with three goals, Kash Nicklin and Solstice Tennant with two apiece, and Sean Richards and Nathan Hayes with one tally were the Bomber marksmen. Zach Spafford with three assists and Grayson Salmon with two helpers also contributed multi-point games.
Tom Forrest picked up his second win in as many nights in the Bomber goal.
The same two teams meet on Wednesday night, again at the Alberni Valley Multiplex, in a 7:00 pm start.
