Bombers Continue Homestand Against Storm

Wednesday night will be game four of a five-game homestand for the Port Alberni Bombers (8-10-2). As they will take on the Campbell River Storm (18-2-2).

After falling to the Westshore Wolves last Saturday, the Bombers are looking to get back into the win column, but are going to have a tough time doing so against one of the best teams in the VIJHL.

The Storm has the second-most points in the VIJHL and are only two points back of the Victoria Cougars for the top spot overall.

The Storm also has the best powerplay, which is operating at 29.5%. Which has given teams nightmares night in and night out. And has also allowed the second-fewest goals in the league, with 51.

If the Bombers will be looking to squeeze a win out of this contest, they will have to play a very tight defensive game. And best sure to stay out of the penalty box as well.

Minimizing the chances for the Storm is going to be key, but it’s an area the Bombers have struggled in, in their inaugural year.

Puck drop will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be available for $10 for an adult and $5 for those under 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.

And if you’re unable to make it to the game, you can catch the game live on HockeyTV. A link for the broadcast will be down below.

COVID-19 regulations and restrictions will be in place at the arena.
