Bombers drop 3rd in a row 5-2 to Generals.

The Bombers came into Wednesday night looking to snap a 2 game losing streak when they played host to the Oceanside Generals.

 

The first period was back and forth with both teams getting chances and trading blows on the defensive side. It wasn’t until 18:13 of the opening frame that Justin Osborne broke through for the Bombers making it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

 

The Generals came to life in period 2 getting goals from Brendan Carlson (2) Sean Brendeland and Dante Paziuk. Oceanside lead from start to finish in period 2 and had a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes.

 

The Bombers were able to keep it closer in the final period as they got a goal from Blake Power at 14:16 to get back within 1 but in the middle of a 5 on 3 Powerplay Brendan Carlson scored his 3rd of the game to give Oceanside a 2 goal lead once again. the Bombers were unable to overcome the deficit and drop their 3rd in a row 5-2 the final.

 

The Bombers are next in action on Friday when they Begin a quick 2 game road trip in Saanich and Comox Valley before they are back at home on October 14th and 15th to face the Nanaimo Buccaneers and the Peninsula Panthers.

 

Oceanside is next in action on Saturday when they Begin a 3 game homestead facing the Kerry Park Islanders.
