Bombers drop last game of the home stand 5-0 to Comox Valley

The Bombers came into Wednesday night looking to extend the current win streak to 5 games when the North Division leading Comox Valley Glacier kings came to town.

 

Comox came out fast and hard as they were getting pucks on net early. Austin Montgomery-Parsons would open the scoring at 7:31 with his second of the year. Comox would keep coming in the opening frame as Brigham Nye and Wyatt Murray would both get goals less than a minute apart. 1:08 after the Murray tally Logan Furlong would score his 8th of the year and it was 4-0 Glacier Kings after 20 minutes.

 

The second period was much tighter as the Bombers seemed to find their legs in the second. Max Gorzelnik would score his sixth of the year at 2:17 but there would be no more scoring as Comox took a 5-0 lead to the room.

 

The third period would be a little more chippy as there was 6 penalties between the 2 clubs. Both goalies were rock solid in the final period and there would be no scoring Colton Hanson makes 29 saves for his first shutout of the year. Lukas Toth makes 30 save on 35 shots in the loss. The Bombers fall to 4-4 Meanwhile the Glacier Kings improve to 7-1
