Bombers fall to Islanders 5-1

The Bombers came into Saturday night looking to get back on the right track when they went south to visit the Kerry Park islanders.

The first period was nothing short of what we usually see when these teams meet. Hard hitting good defence and solid goal tending and it stayed scoreless until the Bombers took a flurry of penalties in the back half of the period to put themselves down two men and the Islanders took advantage when Carson Brown scored the opening goal of the game and it was 1-0 Islanders after 1.

In period number two we saw much of the same tight checking and defence until 16:50 of the period when Nathan Bouveur would extend the KP lead to 2-0 but just under a minute later Grayson Erickson would cut the lead in half scoring his 6th of the season and it was 2-1 Islanders after 2.

The islanders would take full control in the third. It started with Carson Strom 15 seconds in that would get the lead back to 2. Then 2 goals in less than a minute for Alexo Sedrakas would make it 5-1 for the Homeside. Thats where it would end.

The Bombers got 0-7 with the Man advantage. Meanwhile Kerry Park went 1-8. The Bombers next play on November 4th when they hit the road for a battle against the storm in Campbell River.
