Bombers finally back home tonight to host Buccaneers

It’s the first action at the Bomber Base since December 8th, as the Bombers (13-19-2-1, 5th North) host the Nanaimo Buccaneers (1-31-2-1, 6th North) in VIJHL action at the Multiplex tonight.

The Bombers last saw action on January 8th in Comox Valley, where they dropped an 8-1 decision to the Glacier Kings.  The Buccaneers were in action last night at home, where they dropped their twelfth straight game, 8-2 to the Glacier Kings

Due to weather and precautionary reasons, both teams have had three of their last four games postponed, including a head-to-head match up that was scheduled for January 6th in Nanaimo.

This is the fifth head-to-head meeting this season, with the Bombers holding a 4-0 edge in the season series to date. They won the inaugural meeting 10-2 on October 23rd at the Bomber base, the second meeting 6-2 in Port Alberni on November 3rd, and came out on top by a 6-3 score in Nanaimo on November 28th. The most recent meeting saw the Bombers come out on top by a 10-4 score on December 30th.

Game time is 7:00 PM.
