Bombers Hit by Storm

The Port Alberni Bombers dropped a 7-1 Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League decision to Campbell River Storm on Wednesday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
After a scoreless first period the Storm went to work on the power play, scoring three second-period markers with the man advantage to take a 4-1 lead into the second intermission. The third period was more of the same, the Storm adding three more goals to win going away.
Campbell River was 4-for-8 on the power play, with Quinn Messer scoring two with the man advantage while Hayden Selin and Wyatt Dumont score the others. Mitchell Daines, Hayden Pimm and Jackson Gudz scored while at even strength. Owen Ditzel scored the Bombers lone goal, his twentieth of the season.
The Bombers next game is Saturday when they travel to Fuller Lake to face the Kerry Park Islanders. Start time for that contest is 7:30 pm.
