Bombers host Buccaneers tonight

It’s the only game of the week for the Bombers (15-27-2-1, 5th North) as they return to the Bomber Base tonight to host the Nanaimo Buccaneers (1-38-3-1, 6th North) as they near the end of the VIJHL regular season.

The Bombers last saw action Saturday in Oceanside, where they lost their second straight, 3-1 to the Generals. The Buccaneers last played Sunday night at home, where they lost their 20th straight, 9-1 to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings.

This is the sixth head-to-head meeting this season, with the Bombers holding a 5-0 edge in the season series to date. They won the inaugural meeting 10-2 on October 23rd at the Bomber base, the second meeting 6-2 in Port Alberni on November 3rd, and came out on top by a 6-3 score in Nanaimo on November 28th  and they came out on top by a 10-4 score on December 30th.

The Bombers won the most recent meeting 3-2 in comeback fashion in overtime at the Bomber Base on January 14th.
