The Port Alberni Bombers, coming off one of their most inspiring weekends of the 2023-24 Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League season, host Oceanside Generals on Wednesday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
Playing perhaps their best game of the current campaign, the Bombers were hard-luck 6-5 losers last Friday night at the hands of Saanich Predators, and followed that performance with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Nanaimo Buccaneers on home ice two nights later.
Wednesday’s encounter will be a stiff test for the Bombers, who have been beaten convincingly by the Generals in two of the team’s three meetings this season.
Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
