The Port Alberni Bombers are hosting the Oceanside Generals on Wednesday night. The last time these two teams met, the Generals came away with a 4-3 win in overtime back on September 25th.
Both teams are coming off huge victories from the weekend. The Bombers defeated the Nanaimo Buccaneers in dominating fashion by a score of 10-2. Including a four-goal performance from now-former Bombers’ player Jaydon Merritt. Who has now signed with the Grand Prairie Storm of the AJHL.
As for the Generals, they defeated the Campbell River Storm 8-5. The victory for the Generals handed the Storm their first regulation loss of the season.
Needless to say, watch out for the General’s offence. In particular, Generals forward Carter Johnson. Who is fifth in the VIJHL in scoring. With 8 goals and 24 assists for 32 points in just 14 games.
The Generals also have the fourth-best powerplay in the league, which is currently running at 28.1%.
The Bombers will have to play some very good defence this game to make life easier to defeat the Generals. But another wild offensive game wouldn’t hurt either.
Puck drop will commence at 7:00 PM at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
Tickets will be available for $10 for an adult and $5 for those under 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.
And if you’re unable to make it to the game, you can catch the game live on HockeyTV. A link for the broadcast will be down below.
