Bombers Host Islanders Tonight

Friday night will be one of the biggest games to date for the Port Alberni Bombers as they try to jump back into a playoff spot with a win against the Kerry Park Islanders.

 

The last game for the Bombers was onĀ  January 21st when they faced off with the Nanaimo Buccaneers a big second period in which the Bombers scored three times and solid goaltending from Lukas Toth saw the Bombers walk away with a 3-2 win and the all important 2 points. The Buccs went 0/2 on the Power Play. The Bombers did not have a man advantage in the game.

 

But tonight a new challenge in the form of the Kerry park islanders. The last time these teams met was way back on October 29th at the Kerry Park Arena in Mill bay. That was a game full of emotion on both sides as 94 penalty minutes were handed out in the contest. It was a game where the islanders and great 1st and 3rd periods resulting in a 5-1 win for Kerry Park.

All local youth 18 and under receive free admission when accompanied by an adult thanks to the San Group.
