Port Alberni Bombers play host to Saanich Predators in Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League action on Saturday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
Both teams played on Friday night – the Bombers dropping a close 4-2 decision to Peninsula Panthers, while the Predators defeated Kerry Park Islanders 5-3 at the George Pearkes Arena.
The Predators, who are led offensively by Jack Westhaver’s 58 points sit in second place in VIJHL South Division standings. Westhaver had a goal and two assists on Friday night against Kerry Park.
The Bombers are led by Kai Verbrugge with 33 points. The Port Alberni captain scored his 14th goal of the season on Friday against Peninsula.
Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
