Bombers Look for Revenge Against Kraken

The Port Alberni Bombers (3-6-2) are facing off against the Lake Cowichan Kraken (4-8-1) once again on Wednesday night.

This will be the second straight game against the Kraken for the Bombers. After falling to them in their previous match in a heartbreaking fashion.

The Bombers came back from a 6-2 deficit to force overtime but were unable to come out with the win and fell 7-6 in overtime.

It’s not likely to see the same offensive showing that was on display Saturday. But the key for both teams will be to get on the board first and hold the lead. Which, may prove difficult after their previous meeting.

A couple of names to look out for the Bombers will be Blake Power (6G, 9A, 15P) and Jaydon Merritt (6G, 7A, 13P).

As for the Kraken, Julian Rutland (4G, 6A, 10P) and Rowan Zapisockl (3G, 7A, 10P) will be players to watch out for.

Puck drop will commence at 7:00 PM at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.

Tickets will be available for $10 for an adult and $5 for those under 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.

And if you’re unable to make it to the game, you can catch the game live on HockeyTV and Mixlr. The links for both broadcasts will be down below.
