Bombers Look for Third Straight Win Against Wolves

The Port Alberni Bombers (8-9-2) are looking for their first three-game winning streak in franchise history. As they prepare to face off against the Westshore Wolves (13-8-1) at home this Saturday night.

The Bombers have been playing better as of late, having won three of their last four games and look to be making some more damage in their North Division.

While they’re currently one point behind the Lake Cowichan Kraken for the fourth in the division. The Bombers also have three games in hand. And are currently the only team in the VIJHL that has yet to play at least 20 games this season.

But the Wolves are going to be another tough matchup. Even though their previous match was a 4-3 loss to the Victoria Cougars back on Wednesday, November 10th, the Wolves have two players in the top 10 in league scoring.

2001 born players Blake Bentham (15G, 23A, 38P) and Isaac Leik (16G, 18A, 34P) are two players to watch out for in this contest. As both players are also riding five-game point streaks.

Bentham with (3G, 7A, 10P) and Leik with (3G, 6A, 9P) in that five-game window.

The Bombers’ game plan will most likely be around stopping those two, but it will be a tough task with how much those two players have been producing as of late.

Puck drop will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be available for $10 for an adult and $5 for those under 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.
