Bombers look to bounce back after tough shootout loss

Thursday night will mark the second of two games in a row for the Port Alberni Bombers and after losing a game last night in a Shootout to Comox the Bombers will look to bounce back in a big way when they head to Nanaimo to take on the Bucs.

Last nights game was one in where the Bombers let a early 2-0 evaporate and needed some magic of their own to tie the game late in the 3rd period. Overtime would so;lve nothing and the teams would head to a shootout. The Comox netminder stopped both Bomber shots in the skills contest and took the game by a score of 5-4. Felix Plendl made 60 saves in the loss. The Bombers went 2/8 on the powerplay meanwhile Comox was 0/4 with the extra man.

Tonight’s game presents a new challenge in the form of the Nanaimo Buccaneers. The last time these teams met it was a 3-0 win for the Bombers back on December 15th. The big key for the Bombers is don’t take this team lightly play your game and everything should go your way.

Puck drop for tonight’s game is 7:15 and as always the game will be live on HockeyTV. And make sure to stay locked to Bombers socials for updates before during and after the game.
