Bombers look to bounce back VS red hot Panthers

The Bombers come into Friday looking to bounce back after a 5-0 shutout loss to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings on Wednesday when they visit the Peninsula Panthers.

 

The Panthers are the number one team in the VIJHL coming into Friday night as they sit at 7-0 with a goal differential of +13, There last game was a 2-1 win over Kerry Park on Tuesday. That game was tied 1-1 until just under 5 minutes remaining in the game when Ryan Grambart scored his second of the game and that would be the eventual game winner as the -Panthers Improved to 7-0 on that night.

 

The Bombers were last in action on Wednesday night as they took on the North Division leading Comox Valley Glacier Kings. Comox jumped up on the board early with a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes. They would add one more in the second and the game would end at a 5-0 win for Comox. The Bombers drop their first game of the year on home ice snapping a 4-game win streak and dropping to 4-4 good for third in the north division, after this game the Bombers have a few days off as they don’t play again until the Oceanside Generals come to town on Wednesday October 5th.
