Bombers lose 4-2 to Victoria

The Bombers came into Thursday night looking to win their third game in a row when they hit the road to take on the Victoria Cougars at the Arch.

 

The first period saw both teams start fast with scoring chances coming at both ends early. The Bombers would get on the Board first when Chase Pacheco scored his team leading 14th of the season at 5:21. Just over 2 minutes later Mateo Pivetta would jump on a loose puck and tie the game at one. With just under 5 minutes remaining  Aidan See scored his 8th of the year and the Bombers would head to the room with a 1 goal lead.

 

The second period played much tighter than the opening 20 scoring was hard to come by as both teams seemed to lock in on the defensive end. The only scoring would come from Victoria as Ethan Roworth scored this 9th of the year to send the teams to the room tied at 2.

 

The third period was all cougars it started with Jacob Pang capitalizing on a Bomber Turn over to score what would be the eventual game winner at 7:50 of period 3. The insurance marker for Victoria would come at 18:25 as the Victoria Cougars would snap the Bombers 2 game win streak and take this one by a score of 4-2. Both teams went 0 for 6 with the man advantage.

 

The Bombers are next it action on Wednesday November 30th when they host the Lake Cowichan Kraken. Puck drop is 7pm at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
