Bombers Lose Heated Contest Against the Generals

The Port Alberni Bombers were shut out by the Oceanside Generals on Wednesday night, by a score of 6-0.

And while the score may look to be all the game was about, there were also many heated moments throughout this game.

Just in the first period alone, there were 30 penalty minutes handed out. 28 of which were against the Generals, including two 10-minute misconducts.

On top of that, the Generals were able to get a 1-0 lead on the powerplay and kept that lead heading into intermission.

In the second period, the rough stuff would continue as Bombers player Keenan Saunders and Generals player Zeyd Boltakke were each given 10-minute misconducts within the first four minutes of the period.

As for the scoring, the Generals would continue to put up goals on the board and take a 3-0 lead going into the second intermission.

In the third period, things wouldn’t calm down. As Bombers players, Grayson Erickson, Brady McIsaac, Brett MacLean and Cam Maher would all receive 10-minute misconducts. And Generals players, Try Boylan, Braedan Leary, Miles Carson and Aidan Cook also received 10-minute misconducts of their own.

And with all of that going on, the Generals would end up scoring three more goals in the third and secure themselves a 6-0 win.

The next Bombers game will be on the road as they will pay a visit to the Peninsula Panthers on Friday, October 29th.

Puck drop will commence at 7:30 PM and if you’re unable to make it to the game in person, you can catch the game live on HockeyTV. A link to the broadcast will be down below.
