Bombers Play Second Game in a Row against Glacier Kings

After falling short once again, this time to the Victoria Cougars. The Port Alberni Bombers (0-4-1) quickly change their focus to a new opponent, the Comox Valley Glacier Kings (3-2-0) for Wednesday night’s matchup.

The Bombers are coming off another game in which they had a 3-1 lead at one point during their game, but would ultimately lose control of that lead and end up losing 4-3. It’s only a matter of time until the Bombers do get their first win of the season. Considering the team has been playing better as of late.

For the Glacier Kings, they’re coming off two impressive wins. The first was a 6-4 victory over the Oceanside Generals, the second was defeating the Campbell River Storm 3-2 in overtime. The Glacier Kings are also posting a powerplay that is second-best in the league, which is running at 26.3%.

So if the Bombers are wanting to come away with the win, they’ll need to stay out of the box and tighten up defensively. As well as keep up the offensive pressure they’re shown in the last couple of games.

Tonight’s game will begin at 7:00 PM and will take place at the Alberni Valley Multiplex. Tickets will be $10 for each adult and $5 for anyone under the age of 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are with an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.
