Bombers return from break tonight to visit Buccaneers

The Bombers (12-18-2-1, 5th North) return to Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League action following the Christmas break tonight, as they head down Island to visit the Buccaneers (1-29-2-1, 6th North) in Nanaimo with a critical two points on the line.

The Bombers headed into the break on a two game losing streak after falling 3-2 on the road to the Comox Valley Glacier Kings in a shootout on December 18th.

The Buccaneers last played on December 16th, where they lost their tenth straight, 4-3 at home to the Lake Cowichan Kraken.

This is the fourth head-to-head meeting this season, with the Bombers holding a 3-0 edge in the season series to date. They won the inaugural meeting 10-2 on October 23rd at the Bomber base, the second meeting 6-2 in Port Alberni on November 3rd, and most recently came out on top by a 6-3 score in Nanaimo on November 28th.
