After a postponement of their scheduled hosting of the Comox Valley Glacier Kings on Tuesday, it’s the first game of 2022 for the Bombers (13-18-2-1, 5th North) tonight, as they visit the Buccaneers (1-30-2-1, 6th North) at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.
The last game action for both of these teams was a week ago tonight head-to-head, a 10-4 Bomber win at the Nanaimo Ice Centre on December 30th.
This is the fifth head-to-head meeting this season, with the Bombers holding a 4-0 edge in the season series to date. They won the inaugural meeting 10-2 on October 23rd at the Bomber base, the second meeting 6-2 in Port Alberni on November 3rd, and came out on top by a 6-3 score in Nanaimo on November 28th.
