Bombers visit Storm tonight

It’s a big test tonight for the Bombers (15-25-2-1, 5th North) as they head up Island to visit the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League-leading Campbell River Storm (35-2-2-0, 1st North, 1st Overall) at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena

The Bombers last played Wednesday night at home, where they snapped a six game losing steak with a thrilling come-from-behind 5-3 win over the Oceanside Generals. The Storm were in Nanaimo last night, where they won their 17th straight game, 9-0 over the Nanaimo Buccaneers.

This will be the eighth head-to-head meeting between the teams. The Storm have a 7 and 0 record so far. They took the season opener in Campbell River, 6-1 on September 10th, and earned victories in the subsequent follow up matches 4-1 at the Multiplex on September 22nd, 5-3 at home October 15th5-2 at the Bomber Base on November 17th6-3 at the Gerry Morgan Memorial Centre in Gold River on December 3rd, 5-3 at the Bomber Base on December 8th, and most recently by a 5-2 score at the Bomber Base on January 26th
