Bombers welcome back leading scorers, leadership core

The Port Alberni Bombers are excited to announce the return of the bulk of their leadership core, and their leading scorers.

Returning for the 2024-2025 season are:

 

2005 born Forward Kai Verbrugge, from Port McNeill, B.C.

Verbrugge was named Captain last season. He scored 14 times and added 22 assists for 36 points. In 92 VIJHL games he’s scored 19 times and added 25 assists for 44 points. 

 

2005 born Forward John Shields, from St. Albert, Alberta

Shields was one of our Assistant Captains last season. He played in all but one game in his rookie season in the VIJHL, and contributed 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points. 

 

2005 born Defenceman Solstice Tennant, from Vancouver, B.C

Tennant is one of our top Defenders and a member of a leadership group. He led all Defencemen in points per game last season, with 6 goals and 15 assists for 21 points in 34 games. In his VIJHL career, he has suited up for 77 VIJHL games.
