Gens Blank Bombers 6-0

Wednesday night was a true test for the Bombers as they welcomed the hottest team in the VIJHL to the Bomber Base for a mid-week clash.

 

The first period started quickly for the Gens as Tyson Pauze scored his 3rd of the season less than 7 minutes into the game. The Gens kept the pressure on and would net a Powerplay goal at 13:38 and that would give them a 2-0 lead heading into the room after 20.

 

In period number 2 both sides would get chippy as over 30 minutes in penalties were handed out in the middle frame. There was no scoring until 17:20 when Brendan Carlson would score his 16th of the season and give the Gens a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes.

 

The Generals would wrap things up quickly in the 3rd as they scored 2 goals in the first 3 minutes of period number 3 and kept the pressure on for almost the entire 20 minutes Carter Johnson would join the scoring at 13:33 and that’s where it would end 6-0 Oceanside the final. the Bombers went 0/4 on the Powerplay the Gens went 3/5.

 

The Bombers next see action on Saturday January 21st when they host the Nanaimo Buccaneers. Game time for that contest is 7pm from the Bomber Base and as always you can catch the game live on HockeyTV.
