Power & Pacheco Help Bulldogs to BCHL Win

When the Bulldogs were hit hard last week with both injuries and suspensions, they didn’t have to look far for help.

With several key players out of the line-up, the Bulldogs added Blake Power and Chase Pacheco to their line-up.  Pacheco played in both Friday and Saturday, while Power drew into the line-up for Saturday’s contest against Coquitlam.

Pacheco, the Bombers leading scorer on the season, picked up an assist on Saturday, while Power was effective all night as well.  After 15 games of BCHL experience last season with the Clippers, the Port Alberni native and captain of the Bombers was an easy addition for head coach and general manager Joe Martin.

Mason Windsor of the Comox Valley Glacier Kings also drew into the line-up and chipped in with a goal of his own.

While all 3 players return to their VIJHL clubs this week as the Bulldogs get healthy, it’s reassuring to know that should the need arise again, there are players waiting in the wings to help solidify the Bulldogs line-up on a moments notice.
