The Port Alberni Bombers lost their second game in two nights to the Oceanside Generals, falling 9-1 to the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League champions on Saturday night in Parksville, after dropping a tough 2-0 decision the previous evening in Port Alberni.
The Generals led 2-0 after one period, but a four-goal outburst in the second frame put the game out of reach, with three more Oceanside markers in the third period sealing what was a comprehensive win for the reigning champs.
Zachary Hawley scored the lone Bombers goal with under five minutes remaining in the contest.
