Nicole Ruel- Strength & Conditioning Coach

Nicole was born and raised in Port Alberni. BC. She has spent some time away throughout the years but landed back home in Port Alberni in 2022. Nicole is an avid sports and fitness enthusiast and turned her passions into a career 30yrs ago with the establishment of Ruel Athletics. Nicole specializes in movement performance and strength and conditioning. She has spent the last 5yrs in the States studying and applying Pre-Hab and movement performance training practices to athletes.

She has her nursing diploma along with certifications through, NSCA, Barbell Rehab, Rehab-U, NASM, BCRPA, ACE, and ISSA. When Nicole is not in the gym or playing sports you will find her in nature with her family, friends, and her dog.

DALEY FORBES – Athletic Therapist: BAET, KIN, CATA CANDIDATE

The Bombers are fortunate to have Daley Forbes returning for her 3rd year as the clubs Athletic Therapist. Daley completed her Bachelor’s of Athletic and Exercise Therapy degree (BAET) at Camosun College in Victoria, British Columbia; She has extensive field experience with contact sports such as rugby, olympic freestyle wrestling and hockey. Upon graduation from BAET, Daley became a practicing Kinesiologist through the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. Daley currently practices full time at Ridge View Health + Performance in Port Alberni.

Daley has experience as a competitive athlete, so she understands the drive to return to play after battling injuries. Following a sports medicine model of care, strength and mobility are key aspects of her treatment style to improve function of daily living or athletics.
