Bombers Lose Close Contest to Highly-Ranked Cougars

Port Alberni Bombers came back from deficits of 4-1 and 5-2 before dropping a 5-4 decision to Victoria Cougars in Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League play on Thursday night in Esquimalt.
Kash Nicklin with two goals, and Jett Ronning and Jonny Timmons with one each, scored for the Bombers. Damien Knackstedt was busy in the Bombers goal, making 34 saves, many of them of the spectacular variety.
The Bombers next game is Sunday evening when they travel to Nanaimo to take on the Buccaneers at the Nanaimo Ice Centre. Puck drop is 7:15 pm.
