Bombers Return to Action Against Kraken

The Port Alberni Bombers (7-9-2) are back on the ice again after a week-long break to take on the Lake Cowichan Kraken (8-11-1) on Wednesday night.

This will be the third time these two new franchises will be facing each other in the 2021-22 VIJHL season. Both teams have grabbed one win against one another.

Their previous meeting was on October 20th, where the Bombers defeated the Kraken 4-3. And in these two meetings, both teams have scored 10 goals.

Since then, the Bombers are 3-3-0 and the Kraken are 4-2-0 in the six games since. Including a 3-2 win over the Campbell River Storm on November 7th.

If there’s anything to expect for this game, it’s an offence showcase. Especially if the Bombers are unable to get off to a fast start after their week-long break.

Bombers players though need to make sure that this isn’t a write-off game just because of the Buccaneers’ record. And if there is anything hockey fans know, it’s that anything can happen on any given night.

Puck drop will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be available for $10 for an adult and $5 for those under 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.

And if you’re unable to make it to the game, you can catch the game live on HockeyTV. A link for the broadcast will be down below.

COVID-19 regulations and restrictions will be in place at the arena.
