It’s the final game on the schedule this weekend for the Port Alberni Bombers (11-17-2-0, 5th North) as they head down Island to take on the Saanich Predators (8-23-1-0, 5th South) at George Pearkes Arena for a 6:30pm puck drop.
The Bombers last played Wednesday night at home, where they dropped their fourth straight, 5-3 to the Campbell River Storm. The Predators meanwhile last played Wednesday night at the Q Centre, where they lost their third in a row 8-1 at the hands of the Westshore Wolves.
It’s the second and final regular season meeting between the teams, with the Bombers winning the prior matchup by a 5-2 score on October 9th at the Bomber Base.
After tonight’s contest, the Bombers have two games left before the Christmas break as they visit Lake Cowichan and Comox next Friday and Saturday respectively.
