The First Period was a wild one with the Bombers getting a handful of solid scoring chances in the early going of period number one. Aidan See put one off the bar just about six minutes in. Followed by a Greyson Erickson chance before Blake Power potted his first of the season with a gorgeous shot at 12:26 making it 1-0 Bombers after 20 minutes.

Thats when the Kraken came to life a goal from Mitchell Billings at 8:36 pulled Lake Cowichan back within one. They used that momentum to strike again quickly Richard Bergman would tie the game at 2 midway through the second frame. 2-2 is where we sat after 40.

In the final period the Bombers would open the flood gates. Jackson Payeur let a rocket go from the point that found the back of the net to put the Bombers up 3-2 three minutes into the period. Then Grayson Erickson would join the scoring parade with his second of the year that put the Bombers up 4-2. A wrist shot off the draw from Beau Helmeczi at 9:57 would make it 5-2 and that’s where we would finish. Felix Plendl gets his first win in the VIJHL in the victory.
