Wednesday night had a massive 2 points on the line as the Campbell River Storm came to battle at the Multiplex.
Period one was typical of what we normally see between these teams low scoring and tight checking. The only goal came from the Storms Kieran Ronan as he scored his 10th of the year and that would put the Storm up by one heading into the room after 20.
Period two was much of the same with neither side giving much away. The Storm took a 2-0 lead off of a Vin Jackson goal just under six minutes into the middle frame. The Bombers would pull within one before the period was over as Chase Pacheco would score his team leading 24th of the year and it would be 2-1 Storm after 40 minutes.
The Storm would take control early in period 3 as Kal Nagy scored less than 30 seconds in to increase the CR lead to 3-1. Then just over 2 minutes later Dylan Franklin would make it 4-1 but the Storm didn’t stop their that would score one more time and open up a 5-1 lead less than halfway through period 3. The Bombers would get another from Chase Pacheco but that’s as close as the Bombers would get. 5-2 the Final The Bombers went 0/2 with the man advantage the Storm went 2/5
The Bombers are back in action tomorrow night as they travel to Nanaimo to take on the Buccaneers.
