Storm take game three 2-0, 2-1 series lead

The Bombers trailed 1-0 on a Kal Nagy marker 1:38 into the first, with assists to Cody Savey and Carter De Boer. The Storm built their lead just short of the midway point of the period, when Mitchell Finner scored, with assists to Tynan Peacock and Grady Franklin at 9:50 of the first as the Storm led 2-0 heading into period two.

The Bombers had a five minute power play at the midway point of the second, but couldn’t cash in on it. In fact, there would be no scoring for the remainder of regulation, as the Storm made the lead stand to the buzzer to take a 2-1 series lead.

Nick Peters earned the win in net, while Callum Tung took the loss. The Bombers 0 for 4 on the power play while the Storm went 0 for 3.

Game four goes Tuesday night at the Bomber Base at 7:00pm.
