The Port Alberni Bombers, hoping to put an exclamation mark on a season of learning, host Comox Valley Glacier Kings on Friday night at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
The young team, chock full of first and second year junior-aged players who have spent more time gaining experience than winning, would like to see their 2023-24 Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League season end on a positive note.
But the task will not be an easy one. The Glacier Kings come into the contest having won their last four games, including an 8-0 dismantling of the Bombers when the two squads met in early February in Courtenay. The Glacier Kings have won all five contests against the Bombers this season.
Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm tonight.
