Bombers Buried in Avalanche 8-0

The Port Alberni Bombers, playing shorthanded for the second night in a row, were defeated 8-0 by Comox Valley Glacier Kings in Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League play Saturday night in Courtenay.
Joe Weber led the Kings with two goals, while Tynan Klein-Beekman and Ryley Callan had three assists each.
The best player on the ice for the Bombers was goaltender Damien Knackstedt who faced 64 shots on the evening. Ryder Lally pick up the shutout for the Glacier Kings, facing a mere 14 Bomber shots.
The Bombers next game is Wednesday evening when they host Campbell River Storm at the Alberni Valley Multiplex. Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
