The Port Alberni Bombers face a tough test on Wednesday evening when they host Campbell River Storm in a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) game at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
The Storm lead the VIJHL’s North Division and are the overall leader in the VIJHL with 70 points and pack a veteran lineup led by league scoring leader Carter DeBoer who has 91 points on the season.
In contrast, the Bombers, whose lineup consists mainly of first and second year juniors have struggled all season long because of a lack of experience.
Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
