Bombers Fall 6-4 to Comox

The Bombers came into Wednesday night looking to win back to back games when they hosted the Comox Valley Glacier Kings.

The first period started fast with both goaltenders having to be strong early as scoring chances came in bunches early in the first. Felix Plendl looked great in the first making stop after stop to keep his team in it. Comox Valley broke through at 9:01 when Nick Esposito jumped on a loose puck after a weird bounce in front of Plendls net and that would send Comox to the room with a 1-0 lead after 1.

The first half of period number 2 was back and forth that was until 8:54 when Matthew Teasdale score his fourth of the year to make it 2-0 for the visitors. 11 seconds later Jake Gusavitch would score to extend the Glacier King lead to 3-0. The Bombers would get on the Board at 15:35 when Chase Pacheco scored his 12th of the year on the Powerplay that would make it a 3-1 scoreline but with under a minute remaining Logan Furlong would score to re-establish the 3 goal cushion it was 4-1 after 40 minutes.

Comox would score early into period number 3 to extend the lead to 5-1. But the Bombers would not go away easy Carson Steel would score his 6th of the year at 14:51 that made it 5-2 then Aidan See would score his 5th of the year just over 2 minutes later to make it 5-3 and cut the Comox lead to 2. Comox would add an empty net goal to get the 3 goal lead back. But with 16 seconds remaining Grayson Erickson would score and cut the lead back to 2 but it was to little to late as Comox valley would take this game by a score of 6-4.

The Bombers are next in action on Sunday November 13th when they visit the Lake Cowichan Kraken.
