Bombers Finish Homestand Against Generals

The Port Alberni Bombers (8-11-2) are finishing off their longest homestand of the season, with their fifth visiting team being the Oceanside Generals (13-6-1).

To put it short, these two teams do not like each other. At all.

The last two times these two met, the Generals outscored the Bombers by a score of 12-2.

And during one of those games, both teams had a combined total of 163 penalty minutes. 101 of which were against the Generals.

The Bombers will also have to do more than just keep their emotions in check. They’ll also have to watch out for the Generals’ leading scorer Greyson Weme (20G, 14A, 34P), who is currently 10th in scoring in the VIJHL. And is one of five players with 20 goals so far this season.

Needless to say, this will be one you don’t want to miss. Should be an intense game all around.

Puck drop will begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets will be available for $10 for an adult and $5 for those under 18. However, if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.

And if you’re unable to make it to the game, you can catch the game live on HockeyTV and Mixlr. A link for both the broadcasts will be down below.

COVID-19 regulations and restrictions will be in place at the arena.
