The Port Alberni Bombers (1-4-1) are coming off their first win in franchise history on September 29th. Where they defeat the same Comox Valley Glacier Kings (4-3-0) 3-2. Which, they will face off Saturday night on the road.
There were lots to cheer about on Wednesday night for the Bombers organization, along with their fans. It was great to see the players and coaching staff finally pull through and capture their first win. However, there’s still plenty of hockey left throughout this 2021-22 season. And it’s a message the coaching staff will have to preach.
Winning is great, but the Glacier Kings will be even more ready for tonight’s matchup. They’re seeing it as they’re the ones who gave a franchise their first win. And to some, that is embarrassing.
So expect a much higher intensity from the Glacier Kings and the Bombers defence and goaltending needs to be ready.
