Bombers Play the Storm on Home Ice

After dropping their first meeting with each other 6-1. The Port Alberni Bombers (0-2-0) are looking for redemption against the Campbell River Storm (4-0-0).

In the opening game of the season for the Bombers, they were able to keep the game close for the initial 40 minutes of the game. However, the flood gates opened as the Storm registered five unanswered goals and have kept that same dominance through their last four games. Sitting #1 in the league overall in the standings and have a +14 goal differential.

For the Bombers, it’s been a rough start for the first two games, being outscored 10-1 in that span. So the game plan for the Bombers should center around the philosophy of trying the generate more scoring opportunities and look to play tighter in their defensive zone. And with the week off since their previous game on September 15th, the team should be well-rested and have extra practice to go over game plans for the season.

Puck drop will be at 7:00 PM and it will be at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.

Tickets will be $10.00 per adult and $5.00 for anyone under the age of 18. But if you’re under 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to watch the game for free thanks to the San Group.
