For nearly 47 minutes, the Port Alberni Bombers played a near perfect playoff road game against the highly touted Generals.
The Bombers clinging to a 1-0 lead thanks to a Justin Osborne 2nd period goal, could only hang on for so long. The Generals struck for 3 goals in the 3rd period and won Game 3 by a 3-1 score. The Generals now lead the best of 7 series 3-0
Felix Plendl was once again sensational for the Bombers as he stopped 39 of 42 shots to keep the Bombers close.
The end of the game was marred by an incident that saw both Coaches receive game misconducts and Bombers Defenceman Zeyd Boltakke receive a match-penalty and a lengthy suspension.
Outside of Game 1, the Bombers have been perhaps harder to handle than some would have thought against the Generals. Despite the efforts, their season is now on the line on Monday night when they host Game 4 of the best of 7 series.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
