Power Signs with BCHL Clippers

The Port Alberni Bombers are proud to announce that 04 Forward Blake Power has signed with the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL for the remainder of the season.

Power was a key contributor for the expansion Bombers as he posted 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points in 35 games.

The Clippers had the necessity to sign a player before January 10th and targeted Power who had been AP’ing with the Clippers.  Power would have actually made his BCHL debut in Port Alberni on Saturday evening before the game was postponed as the Clippers paused team activities for 5 days per BCHL COVID protocols.

“It’s unfortunate to lose Blake from a team perspective, but we’re excited for Blake to get the chance to play Junior A hockey.  It’s good for our program to move a player onto the BCHL.” said head coach and general manager Gaelan Patterson.

The Bombers will host the Kraken in a game that could have serious playoff consequences on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.  The Bombers find themselves 3 points behind the Kraken for a playoff spot.
