The Port Alberni Bombers will be looking to continue a trend on Sunday night when they host Nanaimo Buccaneers in a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League game at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
The Buccaneers only victory this season came at the Multiplex when they defeated the Bombers 5-3 on November 10.
Since then the Bombers have won twice handily – 8-4 at Nanaimo and 8-2 at Port Alberni to lead the season series four games to one, but a second loss would be a hard pill to swallow.
In their last outing the Bombers may have played their best game of the season, a 6-5 defeat at the hands of the Saanich Predators, while the Buccaneers were drubbed 9-3 by the Storm in Campbell River.
The opening face-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
