The Port Alberni Bombers, playing their second game on home ice in as many nights, host Lake Cowichan Kraken tonight (Saturday) in a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) contest that has playoff implications.
Going into tonight’s affair the Bombers are five points in arrears of the Kraken in the battle for the fourth and final playoff spot in the VIJHL’s North Division.
The Bombers are coming off an 8-2 victory over Nanaimo Buccaneers on Friday night, while the Kraken played Friday as well, suffering a 9-2 loss at the hands of Saanich Predators.
Puck drop tonight is 7:00 pm at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.
