Bombers host Panthers tonight.

Saturday marks a big game for the Port Alberni Bombers as they host the league leading Peninsula Panthers.

The Bombers come in fresh off of snapping a 5 game losing streak last night to the Nanaimo Buccaneers. In that game it was all Bombers who never gave up the lead the entire game in a contest that would finish 6-1 Chase Pacheco had a hat trick and Owen Bonthuis notched this first win in the VIJHL. The Bombers improved to 5-8 meanwhile the Buccaneers fall to 1-9.

The Panthers also played last night when they hosted the Kerry Park Islanders. In that game both teams scored in the first and would head to the room knotted at 1. In the second period it was Tanner Banks scoring his 8th of the year and that would be the game winner. No scoring in the 3rd and the Panthers would take that game 2-1.

Tonight marks the second of 4 meetings between theses teams the first one was at the Panorama Rec Centre on September 30th in what was a 3-1 final in favour of the Panthers. So the Bombers are looking to exact some revenge tonight on their home ice.

Game time is 7pm at the Multiplex. You can also catch the game live on HockeyTV. Keep it locked to all of the Bombers social channels for updates before during and after the game.
