Bombers host Storm tonight

A mid-week VIJHL battle will see the Bombers welcome the Campbell River Storm to the Multiplex as they look to end this home stand on the right note.

 

The Bombers last played on Saturday night when they took on the Peninsula Panthers. The first started with a Sam Davidson rush on a powerplay and that would make it 1-0 Bombers. The Panthers would tie it up at 15:03 of the first as Tristen Rosenblood would snap one past Plendl. The game winning goal would be scored by Peyton Braun at 15:43 and that put the Panthers up 2-1. Peninsula would lock it down after that and the next 40 minutes would be a defensive goaltending battle with no scoring ending in a 2-1 final in favor of the visitors. Peninsula went 0-4 on the powerplay meanwhile the Bombers went 1-2, with the win the Panthers move to 10-0-1-1 and the Bombers drop to 5-9.

 

The Storm last played on Friday when they took on the Comox Valley Glacier Kings. A three goal second period helped lift Campbell River to a 5-2 win. The Storm went 3-6 with the man advantage, Comox went 0-4 with the win Campbell River moves to 8-5-0, The loss drops Comox to 10-3-0-1 on the season.
