The Port Alberni Bombers travel north to begin 2024 with a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League game against Comox Valley Glacier Kings on Friday night at the Comox Valley Sports Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
The Bombers currently sit in fourth place in the VIJHL’s North Division, nine points behind Lake Cowichan Kraken. The youthful squad hopes to use lessons learned during pre-Christmas play to contend for a playoff spot.
Meanwhile, the Glacier Kings are in second place in the North Division with 42 points. Comox Valley leads the season series between the two teams 2-0.
